Shivam Vinayak leads the MX1 at which he has remained unchallenged both at home and within the region and so is compatriot  Cruze Muigai who is expected to call shots at his MX2 (formerly 125cc class) specialty.

Cruze was a real crowd puller at Garuga what with stunning jumps that left the Ugandan crowd fascinated despite their patriotic stand to their riders. So Cruze will now have to be extra careful as he tackles compatriot Tutu Maina and Ugandan duo of Jack Evans and Unisan Bakunda whom he beat to second and third at Garuga.

Ivan Guya leads the MX85 after he beat Ugandan Yannick Duyck to second overall slot. Guya has just made a calm comeback to riding after a leg injury that has sidelined him for the better part of the season.

If Guya doesn’t compete in the AMU, then the Kenya assault will be led by Eugene Maina and Adhil Khan who lead the local series. Khan settled for third overall on 47 points behind Ugandan Duyck.

In the MX65, Kenya’s leader Apollo Mbuki will also be seeking to gain impressive ground at home after mechanical problems restricted him to third in Kampala. Fatuh Kigundu of Uganda leads the MX65 followed by Eduardo Bosi of Uganda and Sameer Anwar.

Meanwhile, East Africa Motor Sports Club (EAMSC) will organize the seventh round of the H20/Oilibya Motocross series at Diani giving riders the first taste of sand riding.
