All that Anthony needs to do is to bring back his baggy in top ten in the next meeting and will have racked up his first title on four-wheels in 19 years! Anthony won back to back Group N titles in 1990 and 1991 driving a works team Daihatsu Charade; the same years he finished 10th overall in the WRC Safari Rally.

 “It was such a fantastic drive. Ian did me with a mere three seconds,” Anthony noted.

After six rounds that have took drivers through Lake Baringo, Jamhuri Park, Nguu Tatu in Mombasa and Athi River, Anthony, a five time motocross open class champion, leads the eight leg series with 110 while Duncan has 74 points. Duncan has had his campaign impeded with skipped the Baringo tour.  

Arthur Kinyanjui was trim on his lines but settled for third overall. Kinyanjui however to rattle Duncan and Steve. Jeremey Andrade came home fourth cumulatively on 6.33minutes while Charles Mugo (6.37) and Amit Bhutt (6.45) occupied fifth and sixth. Ken Anunda, who is the youngest driver at 16 years, clocked 6.48minutes to take seventh spot beating Tanveer Oshan (6.53) and Bobby Sehmi who despite gearbox problems managed 67.54 minutes. Sehmi had his gearbox pack up in the familiarization lap. He replaced it with a new one but failed to move as fast. A total of 15 competitors participated in the Rallye Sports Club (RSC) organized series.
