Ali VS Dilip in Solai ALI Mirza hopes to uphold his series lead in the Cummins Karting Championship series which takes off in Solai racetrack, Nakuru on Sunday, June 14. Mizra of Team Ali’s Magic renews his KF3 class rivalry with Champion and Team Magic's Dilip Dinesh whom he upset to stay on top of the Car & General –sponsored series last month. Mirza and his cousin Ali Aslam (60cc) are riding on the crest of the waves, thanks to renewed inspiration that now puts them on top of things. The duo now hope to pick up from where their parents left and surely take Team Ali's Magic act to the next level- what with speed, grace and fervor. In the 60cc Aslam will fight it out with Tush mavji of Team Magic, Nicola Adriaensens and Jeremy Wahome-sposnored by Linksoft.
Mirza has been tipped as the next big thing in KF3 after upsetting Dilip in the third meeting at Solai, contrary to all expectations. Mirza is now leading KF3 with 165 , incidentally a point ahead of Dilip. Aslam on the other leads 60cc class with 138points, five ahead of Team Magic's Tush Mavji. Ali Aslam's father Sammy Aslam reckons Mirza is a real 'Iceman.' “He is very cool on his lines but very combative on his bit,” Sammy commented. It will be interesting how Mirza fairs against Dilip. The Ali's Magic will be a real thriller in Solai. In the KF3 class are also Saif Ali Mogul and Rajiv Jandu. KF2 series leader Chirag Soni ‘Iceman’ hopes to maintain his blistering pace on Sunday. Chirag will also be seeking to upstage his brother Bhavik in the fourth straight round but staunchly admits his brother is a hard nut to crack. In the KF2 are Chana siblings (Ravi and Raju) also hoping to make a robust approach to their assault. “Bhavik is like a leopard on a hunt. His skills are marvelous; however there is always a hitch. If he is leading then I just have to wait for him to make a mistake and it works to my advantage. At that point I overtake and try to maintain my lead,” Chirag said. Defending 50cc class Ian Ndutai is doubtful for the race, according to his father Peter Nduati. The 50cc series leader Ryan Bailey hopes to stay atop against the likes of Oosterik siblings Damon and Jason, Sebastian Adriaensens, and STANDINGS: 50cc: Ryan Bailey 153, Ian Nduati 144, Jason Oosterik 125; 60cc: Ali Aslam 138, Tush Mavji 133, Samir Anwar 117; KF3: Ali Mirza 166, Dilip Dinesh 165, Rajiv Jandu 133, KF2: Chirag Soni 177, Ravi Chana 134, Izhar Mirza 125.
