“Despite Ian’s nonappearance, the heats remained very competitive. It’s however a very good start and I am happy with my buggy,” said Anthony.

Simon Sharpe a veteran buggy driver drew the first blood in his first heat run that he cleared in 2.17.75 minutes.  Anthony came back forcibly winning the preceding two heats on 2.16.32 and 2.15.24 minutes.

Glen was impressive in his run as he romped home second overall- five seconds from Anthony. Keith Henrie settled for third with Ricky and Sharpe coming home fourth and fifth respectively.

The event was organized by Kenya Motor Sports Club (KMSC) whose Chairman Jim Kahumbura emphasized more entries of rally cars.
