Charles Mugo (Honda 450) fights against his father Moses Mugo (KTM 525) but Jorgen Nielsen (Yamaha 450) and his son Anthony will race in different contraptions. Nielsen has entered a Range Rover in the car class. Anthony anticipates a fierce challenge from rally ace Asad Anwar who will be driving a Toyota VX. Youngster Ken Anunda is also on a Toyota VX. Captain Steve Waiyaki is back in a Toyota Land Cruise with Michael Kiambata of Media Masters entering a Range Rover machine. Mindo Gatimo enters his traditional yellow Suzuki that he used at the recent Media Maters 4X4 Challenge.

Quad class Champion Shazar Anwar is eager to endure the new circuit on his Polaris. The son of three-time rally ace Azar Anwar, has been campaigning on Facebook to try and woe spectators and new competitor into quad racing.

“I am in the final stages of preparing my quad. This is a tough event with demanding terrain that takes every ounce of energy out of you. An achievement in itself is just fulfilling. I am encouraging all people out there with quads to get them out of the sheds and come join us for lots of fun in this rapidly growing sport,” Shazar commented.

The quad champion reckons the Baringo cross-country will be an interesting outing “and with all of us going to a new area.”

The Baringo tour has attracted a bumper entry. The bikes class dominates the entry list with quite a good number of cars  exponents signed up already.
