Piers Daykin the navigator of Lee Rose in the KNRC series won the third round of the cross country with (6laps) 4.44.59 but had to play second fiddle to second placed Sammy Jessel (5laps) 4.15.44 who was crowed the car class champion. Jeremy Andrade was crowned the buggy class cross country champion on 55points despite coming third overall behind Pete White and Ian Duncan. Andrade’s final tally is 55 points while White is second overall on 37 points and Tarveen Osham third on 32points. Shazar Anwar retained the cross-country Quad class with a flawless 60points. The cross country series resumes next year while the last round of the Enduro series takes place in December. The 48km raid circuit took in as many varied conditions as are possible on a single ranch (the Chololo Ranch) and the prevailing drought conditions offered hard - dusty and challenging race conditions. The route included smooth farm roads, farm tracks, lugga crossings , a rocky hill climb and the inevitable fence-line racing.
