Jorgen Nielsen finished 10th overall in the bikes class apparently when he crashed his Yamaha 450 four-stroke bike and sprained his leg. Charles Mugo riding a massive Honda 450 came home second also with six laps but in a time of 4h39m24s followed by Jeremy Myer (six laps) 11minutes and 10seconds behind.

Shazar Anwar, son of race ace Azar Anwar, won the quads class to stay on course for his title defense. This was Shazar’s second win in a row after his superior exploits at Selenkai which made up the venue for the first round of the cross-country on March 1.

Sammy Jessel won the cars class when he went through the circuit six times in 5.05.42 hours. Nish Lakhani managed six laps in 5.11.38hours to take seconds overall place. Statistically, the Rift Valley and Motor Sports Club (RVMSC) round of the Cross-Country was well attended with 30 entries witnessed.

The third and final round of the 2009 Cross Country Rally Challenge-cum-Enduro 5 will be organized by Nanyuki rally Group on October 11. Like the Baringo meeting, the event will be preceded by the seventh round of the Kenya National Autocross Championship series on Saturday October 10.
