Jan 23 ENTRY LIST- KCB KAJIADO RALLY 2013

Kenya Commercial Bank (KCB) has kicked off the 2013 Kenya National Rally Championship (KNRC) with a sponsorship of KSH. 39.6Million. 

The launch sets the stage for the start of the  eight-leg KCB Mobi Banking KNRC 2013 Series to take place in Kajiado and its in environs which will be flagged-off on Sunday at the Kenya Motor Sports Club South C Nairobi.  

"KCB is extending this relationship for yet another year with a sponsorship of Ksh. 39.6Million. Its part of the wider strategy to sharpen the focus of our relevant sponsorship properties," said the KCB Marketing and Advertising Manager Lisa Karanja.  

Over the past 10years, KCB has been very instrumental in nurturing,  developing and supporting motorsports in the country in partnership with KMSF. 

Last year, KCB invested KSH. 36Million in the sponsorship of the KNRC. 

"This year the rally will promote our flagship product, KCB Mobi. All the eight legs will promote mobile banking product, to drive the technology-driven products that customers enjoy," Lisa said. "We are encouraged by the large number of youthful drivers participating and the increased level of competitiveness which is excellent for drivers, navigators and fans," continued Lisa. 

Meanwhile, 55 drivers have enlisted for the Sunday KCB event.

The famous Andy's Corner stretch in Kajiado has been designated as the spectator point for KCB Kajiado Rally. 

The start of the  32km-  Andy's Corner stage- is situated 7 kilometers from the highway junction at the Wakawa Zebra Curio Shop, heads all the way to Konza. Reconnaissance is on January 25 from 08:00 HRS to 18:00 HRS.

Scrutineering and Documentation shall take place on  January 26 from 10:00 HRS TO 17.00 HRS at the Clubhouse. 

The first  stewards' meeting will be on    Saturday January 26 at 18:00 HRS. The drivers briefing  is scheduled for January 27 at 07.00 HRS at KMSC Clubhouse. 

The rally starts from the Clubhouse at 08.00 HRS. The Ceremonial Finish is from 17:00 HRS at the  Kajiado Service Park. The Final Scrutineering and Prize Giving  will be  the  Finish venue at Kajiado Service Park.  

The event is set to see drivers fighting for honours at various KNRC categories. Other drivers entering in Division 1 are  Peter Horsey and Quentin Mitchell. Division 2 class is also anticipated to produce fireworks with Jassi Chatthe from Kisumu, Onkar Ra, Manvir S. Baryan, Izhar Mirza and defending champion Don Smith going for honours.
