Leader Kyle Lucas heads Back Home As Autocross 10 Action Beckons

This weekend's Kenya National Autocross 10 event takes place in new territory  in Lolomarik Farm, 24kms North of Nanyuki past Timau.  This was a newly added event to the calendar named Autocross 10 by the Autocross Commission  that will be run by the Nanyuki Rally Group (NRG)this weekend.
This location is home to the current leader Kyle Lucas who is sitting on a decent advantage of 29 points over his closest competitors Charles Mugo of Nairobi and Samir Khan.
As such, with a top ten finish and with 1 more round to go after this event Kyle will have sealed the title and would be fitting to do the same in his own back yard.
According to NRG Chairman Bimal Patel, the Club has completed preparation of a 2 lane, 2.5km track that winds around a natural valley and they have advised that it is going to be a technical & twisty track with the only challenge being the weather.
"Fingers are crossed that the rain can hold off for the weekend," said Bimal.
Spectators are sure to enjoy as they have superb views of all the action being on a raised part of a valley.
The organizers have already received over 10 confirmed entries with expectations of about 20 entries which has been the average in this year championship with all participants promised prizes.
Practice will be on Saturday afternoon from 1pm with the main race on Sunday the 21st from 8.30am. The track location can be accessed by head towards Timau/Meru for 21 kms , pass Timau Town and the Bridge, continue for 400 meters, turn Left onto murram and keep right then past the Timau Sub Level Hospital and continue for 3.4 kms to Lolomarik Farm. Entry Gate is on the left.
Spectators and competitors are advised to follow signs – drive slowly to Event HQ.
A carload of up to 5 pax will be charged Kshs. 1000. Six pax and above will part with  Kshs 2000.
"This gate fee is being collected for a local Girls School supported by the Farm," said Bimal.
