Rally Queens set to fly with Kenya Airways
The Rally Queens, Samira Khan and Chantal Young, together make the most striking rally team in Kenya and these two attractive and determined ladies are pleased to welcome on board Kenya Airways for the entire 2013 Kenyan National Rally Championship in a programme which will also include the world famous East African Safari Classic Rally!
The Rally Queens and Kenya Airways are no strangers to a rallying partnership after Kenya’s leading airline headed Samira’s ambitious campaign to contest the previous East African Safari Classic. On that event Samira brought her Ford Escort home inside the top 30 overall at the end of the nine day marathon, despite having only driven on two single day rallies previously!
For 2013 Kenya Airways will be the title sponsor for the Rally Queens Ford Escort in a dual campaign that will see Samira and Chantal challenge for Classic Cup honours in the Kenyan National Rally Championship as well as tackling the daunting world famous East African Safari Classic in November.
Samira was understandably overjoyed about this announcement; it was an honour to have our national airline support the Rally Queens in 2011, and for Kenya Airways to agree to support our entire 2013 program is fantastic news for the team! Both Chantal and I are determined to succeed this season and this great news has given us the determination to push even harder!
Also joining the Rally Queens for their 2013 season is Liquid Gold Formula SR a revolutionary new mechanical lubricant manufactured in Kenya and designed to tackle the harsh African elements. Liquid Gold Formula SR managing director Rob Linck was pleased to join the program; I’ve been an avid supporter of motor rallying for a very long time but wanted a very unique team to be brand ambassadors for Formula SR … I cannot think of a more vibrant and striking pair than Samira and Chantal and wish the Rally Queens every success in 2013!
