“One of my weak points is my pace at the start of each rally and so Moses and I intend to work on being faster out of the blocks. I don’t have much experience of the Eldoret Rally but that might actually work in my favour as I will be tackling a lot of new rallies this year and so need to ensure I make really good notes!” said Horsey.

The Uganda based Kenyan driver and son of former African champion David Horsey registered his career best result during the last year’s season closer in Mombasa where he came home fourth overall contrary to all expectations.

Horsey and Matovu will contest six rounds of the FIA World Rally Championship in a Ralliart Italy run Mitsubishi Evo X with their global adventure beginning in Turkey in April. Before then, the pair will attend a training camp in Scotland and also intend to contest the opening round of the British Rally Championship.
