NEW NAVIGATOR FOR PIRELLI CHAMP

Kenyan Pirelli Star Driver recipient Peter Horsey will switch co-drivers for the rest of his World Rally Championship campaign, replacing Ugandan born Moses Matovu with Welshman Calvin Cooledge from the next event, the high speed Neste Oil Rally Finland .Horsey and Matovu had contested the opening two events of their six round program but with Moses finding it difficult to commit to the time away and with Peter requiring someone with more experience of the forthcoming rallies, a mutual decision was made.

"Moses is fantastic, and I can’t thank him enough for all of the effort he has put into the rallies we have done together. And although we won’t be together in the car, we shall still remain very good friends!" said Horsey.

Moses said It is sad that he won’t be doing the rest of the WRC together. "But that is how life works. I am proud of how far Peter has come and wish him the best of luck for the rest of the season!" said Moses.

Calvin Cooledge, who is based in Ruthin in Wales , is no stranger to the World Rally Championship.

As well as having done gravel notes for the likes of Markko Martin, Calvin has also worked as a co-ordinator for the likes of Prodrive, R E D and MSD. A co-driver of many years experience Calvin has sat alongside former British Rally Champion David Higgins and his experience of Finland and also with competing on tarmac should benefit Peter enormously!
