Mitsubishi Evolution X and raring to test the new machine this weekend, time was ripe for former Kenya National Rally Champion (KNRC), Baldev Singh Chager to break with tradition.

‘Boldy’ as he is amiably referred to as in rallying circles showed up at the KCB Voi Mobi Rally press briefing and wasted no time to chide enthusiasts of his former trusted brand, Subaru when he said, “To speak the truth, I reckon the Evo is far much faster than the Subaru (Impreza N16) and I know many will not want to hear this.”

Willpower, endurance and skill will come under severe test in the third round of the KCB Kenya National Rally Championship headed for Voi on Saturday.

Motorcycle enthusiast Douglas Kiereini, who is also a wheat farmer in Narok, has entered two bikes for this year’s CBA Africa Concours d’Elegance to be held at the Nairobi Racecourse on September 29th.  He will show his 1980 Yamaha RD 400 G and a 1980 Honda CB 750 F machines.

Samira Khan and Chantal Young, together affectionately referred to as “The Rally Queens” , are all set for this weekends KCB Voi Rally, Round 3 of the 2013 KCB Kenya Rally Championship. The girls will once again be competing in their Kenya Airways Ford Escort Mk1 in the Classic section of the rally.
